Raspberry Pi - cross-compile

As it takes so long to compile the NTP suite on the Raspberry Pi, I made some attempts at cross-compiling on a Debian 7.2 system.  This was running in a VM Ware workstation environment under Windows-7/64 which had already cross-compiled a new Linux kernel for the Raspberry Pi.

Please see the notes here.
